Course Description
Learn essential welding processes and refine one's skills by crafting and fabricating a variety of metal structures. Students will build a solid foundation of knowledge and skills in welding processes, including oxy-fuel, shielded metal arc, gas metal arc, and gas tungsten arc welding. They will learn how to use a wide variety of hand and power tools, as well as stationary power equipment such as a press brake, shear, and roll machine. Students will learn to read, interpret, and create drawings, and they will use those skills to make their own capstone project. The program includes eight weeks of on the job training.
